保谷聖耀　seiyo hoya

1999年岐阜県恵那市生まれ。
京都大学文学部宗教学専修卒業。
『クールなお兄さんはなぜ公園で泥山を作らないのか』(2019) がカナザワ映画祭2020「期待の新人監督」にてグランプリを受賞。
『宇宙人の画家』(2021) が初劇場公開作となる。
映画制作に加え、アニメーションやイラストの制作活動を行う。

Seiyo HOYA was born in Gifu prefecture, Japan, in 1999.
He studied philosophy of religion (especially Bergsonism) at Kyoto University.
His most recent feature film ALIEN ARTIST (2021) was selected for the 2022 Bucheon Choice, as well as several other international film festivals.
Since his work in that film, he has also made cutout animations, matte paintings and illustrations.
